About Ourthera
Golf reveals the distance between intention and choice.
Ourthera was built to train what happens inside that distance: the decisions, attention, routine, commitment, and recovery that show up when a shot actually matters.
Simulator-based assessment and training for committed adult golfers. No swing reconstruction. No scoring outcome guaranteed.

Why Golf
The next decision arrives quickly.
- Outcomes are immediate.
- Emotion can carry forward to the next shot.
- The player cannot redo every shot.
- Score changes meaning as the round develops.
- Observation changes behavior.
- Decisions must match current capability.
- The same golfer may behave differently in practice and competition.

Method Foundation
Behavioral science, applied to the shot that matters.
The method draws on established cognitive and behavioral principles - attention control, graded pressure, deliberate practice, and autonomy-supportive coaching - and applies them to the decisions and routines that show up when a shot actually counts.

Autonomy · Competence · Relatedness
Three needs the method is built around.
Autonomy
Participants understand the purpose of each task and build personal cues and decisions rather than receiving one rigid mental script.
Competence
Progress is made visible through repeatable tasks, process measures, and increasing pressure, not vague motivational feedback.
Relatedness
The small-group environment creates observation, accountability, shared experience, and structured peer learning.
Scope
Clear role. Clear boundary.

Questions
What you're probably wondering.
Is this swing instruction?+
No. Ourthera works on decision-making, attention, routine, commitment, and recovery: the behavior around the shot. Swing mechanics stay with your PGA professional.
How is this different from a golf lesson?+
Your golf pro teaches the swing. Ourthera trains what happens between the lesson and the shot - the decisions, attention, and commitment that tend to collapse when pressure, score, or a comment from your foursome gets in your head. Lessons build the skill; this makes sure the skill shows up when it counts.
Do I need to be a low-handicap golfer?+
No. The method is built for committed adult golfers at any level who want to train how they behave under pressure.
What happens in an assessment?+
An assessment looks at what changes in your decision-making, attention, routine, commitment, and recovery under pressure. The virtual Golf Performance Assessment is conversation-based; the Simulator Performance Assessment adds structured in-person golf situations.
Are scoring outcomes guaranteed?+
No. Scoring outcomes vary and are not guaranteed. We measure process and behavior, not promised results.
Where do sessions happen?+
Simulator-based, in North Jersey. The exact venue is shared upon booking.
